Waiting for SIM Card - Canada Post Strike

VaultTec

I signed up on Nov 23 and requested a physical SIM card. I didn't realize that PM would try to send it via Canada Post. I'd imagine I won't be getting it anytime soon. Will I be billed for this time that I don't have access to service?  Is there any way I could get a credit or something like that?

@VaultTec - I believe that since there is a Canada post strike all TELUS companies (TELUS Mobility phones & sims, TELUS Home Services Devices, Koodo Mobile phones and sim's, and Public Mobile sim's) are going through Canada Post's subsidiary - Purlator.

I was just looking at the email they sent when I signed up. It said 'processing' and that it would be sent via Canada Post.

I'll follow up with CS_agent though.

The status message is likely generic.  Public Mobile isn't just hoilding back shipments until the Canada Post strike ends.  SIM cards are still being sent out as usual. It's possible that the SIM card is already on the way.  In the past, I have received notification of shipments from Public Mobile after I had already received the shipment, and sometimes, there's no notification of the package going out at all.

HI @VaultTec

No, PM actually will send the sim card via other couriers for the duration of the strike as mentioned here
https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Get-Support/Important-Update-Canada-Post-Strike-amp-S...

But if you are worry, you can confirm with the CS_agent by messaging them

Remember CS_agent will reply to your Community inbox within 2 to 4 hours, please check your inbox here:

Add: While you paid for the subscription and wait for the sim card, your plan cycle actually won't start until you received the sim card and complete the rest of the activation step with the PM app.  So, no worries
