WI Fi Calling

Hi Im reativating my phone I need to make sure I can use WiFi calling with pulic Mobile. Can I make sure my account can use wifi calling in the account settings

TextNow or Fongo are just over-the-top (OTT) apps, not Wifi Calling

With Wifi Calling, it is about the use of your regular cell phone number.  If there is Wifi Calling and  you  are connected to Wifi, people call your regular number, thee network cannot reach you over the 3G/4G network, the call will still come over your Wifi connection.  Similarly, you can make outgoing calls in a basement without network but just Wifi (but of course, the incoming is more useful as you pointed out, you can use TextNow for outgoing)

so.....TextNow or something similar is always available and free.

@hairbag1  In area with poor network connectivity, Wifi calling would be useful

Also, situation like you are in basement that you barely get any signal, Wifi calling definitely is a life saver

I'm kinda technically challenged so I'm wondering why it's imperative that you have wifi calling.

I'm just getting used to the concept of volte !

@marcj   sorry, PM does not have Wifi Calling.  

But they are currently enabling VoLTE, not sure if that helps in your case

@marcj , Public Mobile doesn’t have Wi-Fi Calling! Sorry. They are just finally getting VoLTE activated on accounts which will only work on compatible devices here but I don’t think they will get Wi-Fi calling for quite some time if at all
