Why some times does my voicemail ask the caller for their name then tells it to me when I access the message?

you have been with PM for a year, so your Koodo acccount fully closed right?
you can still try open a ticket and will see, maybe they reset the voicemail and will clear up some glitch at the backend
submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:

As you can see above I have been with Public for more than a year. Previous to that I was with Koodo. I never had this problem with Koodo. Since it is part of the voicemail greeting message I thought it must be doing it on the network side and was hoping for a solution to get it turned off.

then it is weird. What you are experiencing is Call Screening, PM does no have it. And I don't think it is anything related with device settings

I have been with Public for more than 1 year now. I looked through the settings on my Android phone and I don't see anything related to "Call Screening". Like I said this only happens occassionly.

Check your settings - you may have enabled this feature. Under your settings there are the options under Phone and at the bottom SCREEN CALLERS. Check if you had enabled any of the screen features. I have set mine to none.

did you just join PM? if so, your porting request was not competed, you line with the old provider is still active
