I live in the village of Lakefield, ON. At home, Public Mobile data had been limited to 1 signal bar of LTE with speeds of <1 MBs but had no issues with voice calls. In the last few weeks there must have been a system upgrade in the area as we are now seeing 2 signal bars of 5G with speeds up to 40 MBs. The problem is voice calls where my outgoing voice is being dropped by the receiver on a regular basis, no issues with incoming sound. My wife, also Public Mobile, also iPhone 15, has experienced the same issue. Even calling each other, in the same room, has issues with outgoing voice being dropped at the other phone. Is this a Telus issue? Phone issue? We have fibre internet at home so cellular voice coverage is more important to us than data. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

If that's the case, it's Bell making the changes and there's nothing Telus can do about it.

My phone is an iPhone 15 which is VoLTE compatible. I’m convinced it’s a cellular signal strength issue in my area. Hopefully temporary as part of a 5G upgrade. Wifi calling would alleviate my problem but it’s my understanding that PM doesn’t offer it being a tier 3 (economy) service provider . I guess you get what you pay for! I’m still a big fan of PM though for what it does offer for the money. Thanks.
