Hello,
My friend bought a Vivo Y10 phone in China and is wondering if they buy a Public mobile sim card if it will work. Assistance appreciated!
Thanks

Looking at the specs, it appears to support many (most?) of the common 3G (for voice calls) and LTE (for SMS/MMS/Data) used by Public Mobile (Telus) in Canada: Vivo Y10 - Specifications (devicespecifications.com)
The Vovo Y10 supports 3G W-CDMA 850 MHz (B5), but not 1900 Mhz (B2)
it supports LTE-FDD 850 MHz (B5), but no support for any of the other common LTE bands used in Canada: 2, 4, 7
The phone also supports some LTE-TDD bands, but TDD is not used in Canada.
So yeah, as others said it may work, but service may be spotty...

I would suggest you remove the IMEI by using the down arrow in the circle top right.

I looks like the Vivo 10Y will only work on B5 for 3G but you need B4 for LTE.
Remember 3G frequency will be removed in 2025 in Canada.

It would be a very poor choice for here. You might barely get some connection but it would be a challenge. Your friend might not appreciate you giving out the IMEI of their phone.
