I need to cancel my account and this has been the worst experience ever. No t able to activate my account and not able to get a hold of anyone. I will be complaining to the better business bureau next. Give me someone to call or send me confirmation of cancellation and credit to my account.

The Better Business Bureau is as useful for complaints as an online petition given that the BBB is a voluntary organization to which businesses can join for a fee
The quickest way to cancel Public Mobile would be to change your payment method account number — something that I can easily do thanks to a virtual credit card

If you didn’t create an account/activate a SIM/eSIM in step 6 then your won’t be charge. Confirm with your CC whether you were charged.
PM is an online service so all communication with a CS_Agent is done through dm or submitting a ticket on Chat icon but there is an issue with chat.
