Unused month

Hi, Im going to travel for almost 2 months outside Canada, is there any way that I can reduce monthly fee for a month but still keep the phone number?

@JerryDip you already paid for the full 30 days

Early suspension can only be done via Lost/Stolen but there will not be money back for the unused days, so there is no advantage to suspend before the current cycle end day.  But you can disable Autopay now so you don't have to do it on the cycle end day in case you forget

Can I suspend before March 17 (billing date)? Or only after March 17 count?

@JerryDip

PM is prepaid service, so you already paid for the 30 days from your last payment day.

let's say your last payment day was Feb 15, the cycle runs from Feb 15 to Mar 16.  You can disable Autopay now.  The plan will suspend from Mar 17 onwards.  You need to come back before Jun 14  (90 days from Mar 17) or your account will be permanently closed and you loss your number

If you are planning to come back before Jun 14, nothing to worry about.  When you come back, you need to login to My Account to resume service by making a manual payment.  Usually you will see a button Pay now and resume services.  Just click that and follow the steps to make a payment

Hey @JerryDip

You can turn off auto pay right away so the next payment doesn't come out. You'll have 89 days from the last day of this cycle to start back up again. To resume the service you can either purchase a Voucher from Shoppers Drug Mart or use your credit card to make a payment to resume service right away. Depending on when you are leaving, you may be without a phone a few days before your trip. Your call there.

@JerryDip

you can turn off Autopay and let the plan not renew at the end of your current cycle.  when you are back, you will need to make a manual payment to resume service (and remember to resume it within 90 days of the first day of suspension or the account will be close)

To turn off Autopay, Login My Account, go to Payment and Manage Subscription
