More details would help us. Is the connection dropping off based on your location? The more you can tell us, the better we can help.

@Eliza5 You could try to reset the connections, which would clear the cache for internet passwords, mobile service, everything that involves networking. If after that and it doesn't work, could also try removing the sim card while the phone is powered down and reinserting it and see if that helps.

@Eliza5 Do you notice how strong your connect is? Do you have a strong connection? How many bars? Is it a better connection is some areas than others? It may be related to your proximity to Telus cell towers.

HI
@Eliza5 What make and model of phone you have?
Which province and city you are at?
And of the connection issue, do you notice a voice problem or data as well?
Try to change your network to 3G Only or WCDMA only, it could make it better

One of the best comparison tools is to try your public mobile SIM card in another device, if available, to see if you have the same connection type problems.
if possible, use it in the same location where you have experienced issues for a period of several days.
Then you will be able to determine whether the issue is environmental/location or a device issue or an issue with the actual service.
