Unlimited Roaming is NOT Unlimited

I paid $30 for a US add on for unlimited roaming (text and talk) but after a few texts and calls , I do not get anymore

the US has shut down all their 3G networks so to make calls using the PM add-on, for talk you need to make sure your phone is volte enabled. Go in to settings / Cellular / Cellular Data Options / Roaming ON / Voice & Data set to LTE. Without a volte enabled phonre, you need a phone that will connect to 2G. Then select T-Mobile for talk.

Text and data should work regardless...it's the talk portion that is hit & miss without volte. Also, if you're in Alaska, there's no PM service using the add-ons.

@William426 you have the problem in US or Canada??

For US roaming, critical part to US roaming depends on T-Mobile/AT&T coverage and whether you can connect successfully onto either network.

If the phone is not connecting to T-Mobile/AT&T, change the Network Connection from Automatic to Manual and select and test both T-Mobile and AT&T and see which one you can connect.

If your issue is with data, make sure your Roaming Mobile data is enabled and you have disabled your mobile data limiter.  Also change your network mode to 4G (and don't try 5G until you can connect and works on 4G)

If your issue is with voice, make sure VoLTE is enabled on the device setting.  And if it does not work, try to change the Network to T-Mobile ONLY, and change  Preferred Network Type or Network Mode to 2G and see if the calls go through.
Also, you can download VoIP app TextNow as a workaround to make calls and text if you have Wifi or if your roaming has data component and data  is working

So did you buy the talk/text/data package ($30)...or just the talk/text package ($15) ?

added...I ask because if you bought talk/text package ($15) X 2...there could be a conflict. Please clarify which package you bought.

the 15 Day US Roaming talk and text add-on is only $15. Did you buy it twice or did you buy the talk/text/data add-on ? If you bought the talk/text X 2, let us know that.

Hi @William426 

Go into your network settings and choose Tmobile as it works best. Then restart your phone and you should be back up and running. If you're still having issues you can reach out to a CS Agent. Furthermore, you should check your account under addons to make sure the purchase went through.
