Hi there

i lost my phone and bought a new public mobile SIM card from waldmart

When I tried to replace the Sim using self service it says the sim is in use or invalid.

 

please help.

If the sim has been used or activated before, the only fix is to get another sim card.

Support is online via contact to Public Mobile moderators.

 

To contact a moderator, there are 2 methods:

 

  1. Use the ticketing system for a faster response time. Click on the chat bubble in the lower right and type moderator assistance, then select account-related issue, then select you need a human now.  Follow the prompts to submit a ticket,  or, 
  2. Send a private message to the moderator by clicking here

 

Watch for their response in your Community private mailbox which will be indicated by a number on the small envelope icon to the left of your Community avatar.

Does not work.

 

I need staff assistance,  error message is being returned by self serve portal and specifically asks me to get in touch with support.

 

Is this where I get the support or am I at the wrong place.

@Ye 

Did you just buy a SIM card for $10?  Or did Walmart activate for you?  

 

Maybe try again:   clear cache, incognito mode or different web browser.

Hi @Ye 

 

It may take an hour or so for the SIM to be registered on the Public Mobile network.

 

Before re-trying, wait a FULL hour, clear cache and cookies, open incognito tab, and try again.

 

Make sure to enter the full 19 digit SIM in the required field.

Try using self service again to Change Sim Card. Clear browser cache and open a new window in incognito/private mode.
