USA roaming

Hello,

My plan is the “50 GB within Canada and the US.” If I stay in the US for the winter, will I have to pay any additional fees other than my plan fees?

Public Mobile offers a truely unlimited roaming plan. One of my children has been in the US on an internship since August. Absolutely no issues, no additional fees.

@mxw291 If you are in the US and your not able to make or receive calls but text and data work then it's most likely the VoLTE issue. Basically, it means that non-VoLTE phones will drop to 3G for calling but since the US no longer supports 3G service this is what is causing the issue. If you manually connect to T-Mobile in the US, in some areas they still have 2G towers believe it or not so your calling could still work if you are in these areas. My wife's phone is a Galaxy S10+ which supports VoLTE but is not on PM's whitelist so she had to connect to T-Mobile's 2G. As a work-around for her, she just used WhatsApp for calling and videos, worked perfectly.

hTideGnow just replied with the whitelist.  Thankyou.  I was just trying to find it.  If your phone isnt on the PM whitelist you will have problems making ohine calls, your data and text will still work.  If your ohone isnt on the whitelist a work around is to diwnload a free VOIP app like text now and use that to make calls.

HI @mxw291

The PM whitelist for VOLTE enabled? What is that?

PM is a prepaid service.  As long as your account is paid each month you get whats included in your plan.  Make sure your phone is on roaming.  And make sure your phone is on the PM whitelist for VOLTE enabled.
