I purchased the US add-on for $20 for talk, text and data. My text and data work but I am unable to make phone calls. My phone says it is on T-mobile. I am in Iowa. Any suggestions?

I was on AT& T in MSP airport but not able to find AT& T in Des Moines, Iowa

My problem is with my phone (Samsung A1 core). I put the sim in a different phone and it works fine.

Is your phone voLTE compatible? If so do you have it enabled? T-Mobile longer connects non -voLTE enabled devices to its network. AT&T does still offer 3G calling for its customers using older devices that do not support the 4G LTE network..

my mistake i did found out under My Add-ons not under My Data & Add-ons.

can you try manually selecting network,

or you need to contact to CSA,

 @tomclaeys : The above is incorrect. US Roaming talk and text add-ons appear under Plan Details. Not under My Data & Add-ons.

While both carriers have good 4G LTE coverage in Iowa AT&T edges out T-Mobile.

 Reboot your phone. If it still does not connect manually switch to AT&T and see if you get better reception.

you can try reseat the SIM card and Make sure your phone is off before removing your SIM card,

1. power off your device

2. take out the SIM card,

3. waiting a 1 minute,

4. put it back and power on,

5. toggling airplane mode off/on,  

 

and do again Rebooting your phone,

*what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone and turn it back on again.

 

To get the obvious out of the way...you used ( +1 or 1 ) in front of the any area code,

 

for Example long distance, Add (+1 or 1 ) in front of the any area code,
1416xxxxxxx,
or
+1416xxxxxxx,
both is will going through your call...

 @tomclaeys : Can you click on Plan details and list all the add-ons you see there? Or post a screenshot. Blank out personal info of course.

There's a problem if you have more than one talk add-on.
