US roaming

Recently there was a news story saying that Public Mobile was discontinuing free US roaming on plans that currently include this option. What’s up with this? Does anyone know more details? Any info would be appreciated!

@Irisemily

if you currently have a Can/US plan, you'll continue to have it unless you change plan yourself. Every 30 days your plan will renew that same plan. I think the message you're referring to was that the Can/US plans are no longer available to purchase....but existing accounts will still be ok.  As you've found out...PM messaging isn't all that great sometimes.

@Irisemily   There was a plan/plans that were Canada-US on promotion for a while, then new plans at the same price point came in that were Canada only if I remember rightly.  It doesn't mean that anyone who bought the Canada-US plan would have been reverted to Canada only, just that the plans on offer changed. There was also some confusion with a Canada-US 30 day plan that seemed to offer a 90 day version but it was Canada only.  Where did you read/see the news story?

I think you may have misread the story. The Can/US plans that were "offered" as deals expired. Now it's just Canada only plans. If you want a Canada/US plan, either keep your eyes open on the offers page or look at another service provider.

Side note, can you share the link of this news story?
