Hi,
I will be traveling to the states.
My plan covered 50 gb within US and Canada.
My question is, when I turn on data roaming, will Public Mobile charge me extra if roaming is turned on?
Thanks for your help.

@kp311 Thank you for your reply. I am using a OnePlus phone
Unfortunately there are no OnePlus phones on Public Mobile's VoLTE approved list so you may well have problems with voice calls in the USA. Data and texting should still work though. If voice calls don't work you could try connecting to 2G on T-Mobile which is the only alternative without VoLTE since all 3G is shut down in the USA since 2022. T-Mobile is also shutting down 2G but it seems to still exist for now in some areas.

Hello @kp311
The plan you have is meant for trips to the US. You can use it down there like you were here in Canada with no extra charges or fees or purchases required. When you are in the US, make sure your data roaming is turned on and then if you are having any issues with data or calls and such, go into your network settings and turn off automatic and choose T-Mobile as that seems to be the most reliable service down there. Then reboot your phone.
One thing you didn't mention is what phone you have. Just make sure it's a VoLTE enabled phone and is on the Public Mobile VoLTE list before you go down to find any unwanted surprises.

NO extra charges and full service in both countries.

no unexpected charges for overages with Public Mobile. Turn roaming on and leave it on without worry.
added...if you reach your 50GB data limit..your data just stops until next renewal or you buy a data add-on.
