US Roaming 15 day add-on

I'm going to the US for 30 days but the add-ons are only for 15 days. 
I have two options: (note: I won't need 6GB of data)

1. Unlimited U.S. Talk, Text and 3GB Data Bundle ($30)
2. Unlimited U.S. Talk and Text Bundle ($15)

If I purchase both (1) and (2) on one day - will that cover 30 days with 3GB? 
Or will I have to buy (1) first and then after 15 days I purchase another add-on?

If I were to buy the first option (with data) and after 15 days, would that remaining data carry over while I am still in the US?
Given the two replies to this post so far, I was thinking of buying option 1 (for the first 15 days) and then option 2 (for the remaining days).

If you buy both, it won't cover 30 days.  You will need to buy one first.  Then after 15 days, you will need to buy another. The hassle is that you can't buy the exact same US roaming add on until the add on is expired for about 24 hours.  You can buy a different add on immediately, but not the same one.

2. Yes. And the re-buying is tricky. Always has been. You need to either: wait for the 0/15 day counter add-on item to fully disappear (upwards to 24 hours), or buy the different add-on when it's at 0/15, or ask support to re-buy it for you.
