Just signed up..ported number sim is in but NO access....tried to set personal hotspot ..says CONTACT PUBLIC M

before you setup hotspot, can you confirm your service is fully functioning?  is data working by itself?  We need to make sure data is working or not

and for hotspot setup,  PM does not block hotspot , so no need to worry, just a setup issue.   do you have Android or iPhone?

@frustratednew  Did you leave old providers SIM card in the phone to reply Yes to the confirmation text to port ? I’ll send you the porting team number private message . They can re trigger the port request for you
