I've been struggling to switch my phone number from my lost phone to a new phone but just discovered that in order to switch, I need to provide a text code. Hmmm...pretty hard to do if I don't have my lost phone.
So, I tried to use the voicemail option instead. I do receive a voicemail, but the code provided is cut off and barely audible. I am able to hear only the last 3-4 digits. I made about 10 attempts hoping it would be clear in one of them. Never. ALL of the voicemails are cut off. They all come from this number 833-988-3838. So, I tried calling, but there's a strange message, then it hangs up.
Since there is no third option when I click Resend Code - i.e. to send an email as some people are suggesting here - how do I get access to my account to configure a new sim card and/or switch to another network provider?
This is urgent because this is my business line. I cannot lose this number because it's on all my business cards, website, social media, etc.
It's also bizarre that I have to set up a new community account just to ask for help.
