I cannot text or call from the U.S. despite paying for addons to allow me to roam in the U.S. I have WIFI access but can not use the phone data. I have lots of credit. I have reset the phone as per the instructions on the web site.  HELP I have some urgent calls yo make back to Canada.

@woodlandechoes1    2 addons for talk text and data (U.S.)

I don't think it is possible to buy two consecutively, or did you get the $15 talk and text plus a separate data one?  Do the add-on/s show when you log into your account?  They are time limited so did you buy them within the last 15 days?  As suggested earlier, other than trying 2G on T-Mobile is the phone set to 4G/LTE (5G is unreliable with AT&T).

That phone is VoLTE compatible, so don't bother with 2G network.

So, did you try both AT&T and T mobile?

Why did you purchase 2 add ons?  Which exact add ons did you purchase?  If you bough the same 2 add ons, it might mess things up with your service.

Thanks but I use FONGO and it works sometimes, but I paid for service and I am expecting several important calls to me.

@woodlandechoes1 - If you need to make urgent calls to Canada, temporarily use apps like TextFree, TextNow, or Fongo. They'll give you a free phone number with VoIP where you can call back to Canada. You can have a local number (Not the same as your Public Mobile number) & unlimited calls with texts.

You may also be in a No Service area, so check the coverage map of Public Mobile in the USA, T-Mobile in the USA, and AT&T in the USA. 5G+ or 5G Ultra Capacity (UC) won't matter since Public Mobile only has 5G (No +, no UC.)

@woodlandechoes1   T-Mobile 2G can be spotty.  What phone do you have and when did you buy the add-on and which one did you get?

Which model phone?  Is it VoLTE compatible? That is important for talk service.

Try to manually select T mobile or AT&T US carrier.  If one does not work, choose the other.

Other troubleshooting advice:

1. Reboot phone

2. Network reset of phone

3. Toggle airplane mode on then off
