Are we able to forward calls to another number?
Before you leave Canada, forward all calls to another number. Get a free Fongo or any other VoIP service that will give you a Canadian number you can forward your calls to. You can then use calling option if available for 2FA authentication and it will ring on your Fongo app since you will have forwarding set. This is what I use when I travel outside of NA.

hi @navsek
you can forward your calls to another number before the trip, you can even forward to VoIP app TextNow if you want
but text cannot be forward, so you still cannot get 2FA when you are overseas

if you and fam / friends download free WhatsApp, you'll be able to keep in contact with each other for free using wifi or separately purchased data.
Another voip option to consider using Line...

hi @navsek PM has no roaming package or addon other than US or Mexico
if you need to receive 2FA, make sure you change it to email or Authenticator app before your trip
if you need to receive call, use VoIP app TextNow and use Wifi or local data sim or travel esim

you won't get 2FA or calls while you are in Europe, PM does not have roaming in Europe

I don’t see any roaming packages for the EU but if I’m willing to roam and pay, will I have service?
Public Mobile only works in Canada, the United States and Mexico. There is no roaming outside these three countries.
If I may make a suggestion though that might be worth looking into. You can download an app like TextNow, pick a local number to where you live now. Then, look at getting a eSIM from Airalo. Here's the link. Just know, to get 2FA codes, you need to pay the monthly fee they charge for it. But that will only be for the time you're away.
