Hey guys, I am going to travel to quebec city tomorrow for 3 days. I have only province wide calling in Ontario. If I add $8 long distance add on which gives me 200mins, Can I receive and make calls with that 200 min? Please help.

@Foxjig1as laid out in this thread, the "province wide" refers to the talk option, text and data work Canada wide.
Here is more information about your talk options:https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Knowledge-Base/Province-wide-Canada-wide-and-Long-Dis...

you need US roaming package if you want to send and receive call in US. They are only good for 10 days and non-rollover.

Thanks for the link samianauman. It appears that Text and Data can be used Canada-wide which is awesome. Lets coming to the add-on $8 200 min US and Canada long distance. Can they be used when you are travelling in US?

data will be working in Quebec since you calling feature says province wide or Canada wide
Data doesn't have any limitations it's work all over Canada wide
Here the the link someone else asked before about data and text

Another option is to use an app like Fongo and just forward your PM number to that.
Your data will then cover all of your calls whether local or long distance.
Have a great trip!

That is a brilliant idea "TheOldVR". Kudos

The answer is, you would already have calling available in Quebec, if you're call Quebec numbers - Provice wide will let you call any number in the province you are currently connected to a tower in.
The draw back, if you don't have an long distance add-on, you will not receive any calls. So if you want to receieve calls, you must get the $8 or $15 addon. The $8 will suffice 🙂
As for txt messages, they are already available globally, so as long as you're in Canada, you're good to go.

I suggest you get the $15 add on, that way it gives you more freedom in calling international countries as well!

You will be fine with that. That shoudl work for both incoming and outgoing calls. But rememeber you have to purchase another add-on if you want to send messages. Good luck and have a happy vacation.
