Transferring service from one phone to another

I have purchased a new IPhone 16 and I want to transfer my service to it from an IPhone 8. What procedure should I use in order to ensure that my photos and videos get transferred to the new phone?

Hello @FL53 Congrats on the new iPhone 16. I have the pro max myself. Man this thing is awesome.

Then you have two options. You can either just take out the SIM card and place it in the new phone OR you can download the app on the phone, sign in, and you can purchase an eSIM if you choose. The first one is $5 but everyone after that is free. Good luck and enjoy!

@FL53  Super easy just take SIM card  out of old phone and put it in  the new iphone 16 and reboot the device that’s it 

adding as long as you remember your Apple ID everything is stored on the cloud . If your unsure what your Apple ID password it just reset it make new one before you set up new phone to sign in as the iPhone 8-16 won’t be able to be placed together to do it for you so you will need to manually enter your Apple ID password and swap the swap the SIM card from the 8-to the 16 . That’s all you need to do enjoy the new phone @FL53
