I'm switching to a new provider and my subscription with PM ended yesterday. However, to port my number over, I need to receive and respond to a text from PM to authorize the port. Is there a way to receive that text without paying for a whole new subscription?

@dlin What carrier are you going to? If it's in the Telus group it may be possible to port without the PM account being active.

@dlin, unfortunately not, your account must be active for the porting to take place and unlike most other carriers, since PM is a prepaid service you will not get any of the "unused" month back as a credit or refund
