Transferred phone number from another provider

Cantrese55

I transferred my phone number from another provider to my public mobile, it's registered on here my number from the other provider but on my phone information it's still the number I got when I came on public mobile. When I try to call my phone using either number it says not in service. How do I fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

PM has problem provisioning text capability for new activations.  ( And if you are an iPhone user,  iMessage activation is impacted without a working SMS. )

PM is working on a fix but for now, they can only resolve the issue on a case by case basis.  Please open ticket with PM support:

1. Open ticket via Chatbot (need access to My Account): At https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
    Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", then "Other", then "Log In", finally click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗
2. If you have trouble with Chatbot or you don't have access to My Account: Private message CS Agent at:
       https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after ticket submitted, CS Agent will reply to you there

Thank you

@Cantrese55

Looks like a incomplete port.

I will private message you the Telus team porting team number.  They should be able to restart porting request.

@Cantrese55

Try rebooting your phone by powering off then back on.

If that didn’t work then contact a CS_Agent by typing in Submit a Ticket on the Chat icon for an agent to help.

With your PM SIM card in your phone, are you able to call out and text out?  What about data?  Incoming texts?

Did you respond yes to your previous carrier's port request text?
