If you no longer have the pm SIM card then you need to schedule the port request from fido so that you can contact PM customer support before the request is submitted and "verbally" or rather give "written" authorization to approve the port request.
Is your account active with an active plan? Was your renewal tonight? Because I've heard this excuse before from Fido and Rogers where they submit the port request too late or too late in the day for their employees and it fails overnight or fails late at night and they ask for the customer just submit their report request again in the morning which can often cost the customer extra money.
Remember you can always test out your Fido service and new phone if you got a device subsidy for 14 days and if you're unhappy with your service or your phone you can cancel at no extra cost to you as long as you return the phone, accessories, original box etc within 14 days (15 really but 14 days to play it safe).
You can come back to your public mobile account no must no fuss and you won't lose your rewards and add-ons and other lovely things that Public Mobile may have given you....? However if you're totally happy you can then port your phone number to Fido. Paying $15 to reactivate is a small price to pay for the peace of mind that you've made the right decision. You can pay a far higher toll for regret.

PM contact support team by private message > CS_Agent ask them.

Fido said they do not know why, resubmitted a new request but I do not have the old PM sim anymore, so I can’t reply

That wouldn't accomplish anything. Fido has already stated that porting has failed.

@Sylvansiu So, you got the text from PM and you replied yes already?
"Fido says the porting could not happen as planned", did Fido provide you a reason? You can to check with them for more info and see if it is PM issue or Fido's..
That was a very vague answer that Fido provided. They know an exact reason and the customer would need to know that reason to fix this.

Then you need to talk to Fido. This side has done their duty.
Adding - wait...did you reply yes to the text?
Adding more - ah...caught that before seeing the below.
