Hi, the system doesn’t recognize my virgin mobile number, says it doesn’t exist. Is this just an error or does PM not transfer Virgin Mobile Canada numbers?

I'd suggest you just take a new number just to get you started...then get Customer Support involved if you still are unable to port in successfully. BTW..your old account needs to still be active in order to port in to Public Mobile.
