Saturday
Purchased a SIM card from a Telus store in the afternoon. In the evening, I created new Public Mobile account and activated the SIM, requested to transfer the landline at the same time. The landline provider is Telus.
Data is working and I can make calls with the cell phone, but I cannot send/receive text messages and receive phone calls. When someone calls me, the land phone rings.
I can't login to my Pubic Mobile because I cannot receive the verification code from Public Mobile that sent to my land phone number. How long does it takes to have full functionality of all the features as subscribed?
The interesting thing is that when I call with the cell phone, the call display of the other party shows my landline number.
TIA.

Transfer from landline or VoIP provider usually takes 3 to 7 business days depends on the complexity, and usually no verbal approval required
@Dahveed what you experiencing is normal as the porting is not full completed yet. Just rebo9t your cell with the PM sim card daily and test incoming calls, it will arrive your cell phone when the port is finally completed. And do not call your landline provider Telus to close the account. The landline account will be closed after the the port is done as part of the porting process

That strange. When I transferred my landline it took about 5 days before they even called me to approve the transfer. I did have a few glitch for a few days after but never had both lines work at the same time

It takes about 3 days for the landline to be fully transferred. If you are still experiencing difficulties, you can message a customer service agent:
