Just dont order a sim card from the Public Mobile website, it'll take weeks if it arrives at all. Buy from Amazon or find a local Telus or Koodo store that may carry stock of PM sims.

A Public Mobile SIM card needs to be purchased. Once in hand, it can be attached to the existing account from within your Self Serve account. It's in the Profile section.

1. Purchase a physical SIM and have it in hand.
2. Login to the self serve account on a desktop PC and go to the profile tab.
3. Scroll down to the “My number” section and you will see your current SIM card number with a pencil beside it, click the pencil and enter in the number found on the SIM card packaging.
4. Put the SIM card in your device and reboot.
This link will also take you right there:

Please do this process on a computer as the mobile app seems to have an issue with changing the SIM card number. Best to avoid it all together
