Transfer from Zoomer to PM during activation, but no confirmation text message from Zoomer

I received a new SIM card from Public Mobile and I just performed activation.  During the process I chose to transfer phone number from Zoomer to PM and I provided my Zoomer account number.  The instruction says I should keep my old SIM card in the phone and wait for a confirmation text message from Zoomer.  40 minutes passed and I still didn't receive any confirmation text message.  What should I do next?  Keep waiting?  Take out the old SIM card and place the new SIM card in?

The activation and number transfer turned out to be successful, even though I didn't receive any confirmation number from Zoomer. 

What happened was: About 50 minutes after activation, Zoomer cell signal disappeared from my phone.  Then I inserted the new PM SIM, and it worked.  I can send/receive text messages and make/receive calls. Hope my experience can help other people who transfer from Zoomer to PM with a SIM card.  Don't panic if you don't receive a confirmation text message.  Just wait and check whether Zoomer cell signal disappears.  If it does disappear, try your new PM SIM card.

The question you have to ask yourself is this. Do you still see the word Zoomer at the top of your phone for being your service provider with your Zoomer SIM still in it? If so, then the port hasn't gone through. If you see SOS or just nothing, make a test call to someone. If it goes through, the port hasn't gone through. If you can't make a call, good chance the port has gone though.

according to another member with experience porting froom Zoom, yes, it is true that:

Zoomer does not send a text message to confirm porting out. Or, so I've been told by the Zoomer customer service agent when I called Zoomer at 1-888-281-2107 to confirm the port-out was complete today (June 26, 2023).
