Transfer eSim to new phone

Hi there,

I'm currently a PM user, and I recently got a new phone. I would like to continue using the same number and transfer any eSim data onto my new phone but am having trouble finding how to do that. Could I please get some help? Thanks in advance!

if physical som, you cam switch phone easily and free any time.  So, you can activate your PM physical sim first and change phone after

Hi, on a similar topic. I am new on spam with eSIM. My wife is still on Fido physical sim. She wants to keep a physical sim, so I purchased one from Amazon. I am planning on switching her over, however, at the moment she is still on Fido and I will be getting her a new phone on Black Friday. How should I go about activating her on PM?

activate now and just transfer the sim in the new phone once we get it or put the sim put the Fido sim in the new phone THEN do the switch.

hi @KShen esim cannot be transferred. you need to buy a new one for $5

on the new phone, download PM app amd login. Go to Subscription & addons page , scroll to bottom and click Shop sim  and and follow step to buy and install new esim

For the esim, you install the app on the new phone and buy the esim. For the card, you click on the Pick up a sim card down below and find a store near you and call ahead and go get one. Or buy from Amazon if you don't mind waiting.

Unfortunately you cannot transfer eSIM's ... you till have to purchase a new one or purchase a physical SIM card for your new phone. DO NOT purchase a SIM card directly from Public Mobile as it will take up to 3 weeks to get. Purchase one at a local Telus store (call first to make sure they have them) or purchase a SIM card from Amazon for $4.99

The new phone needs a new esim or a new card. You can't move the esim between phones in this service.
