I had some one from Telus call me and new old some of my information. They offer me the same plan for $10 less then I am currently pay and the they wanted my driving Licence and SIN number or credit card. Is this a scam.

I agree that there's a high likelihood that the example in this message thread is a scam, but someone asking for it can be for legitimate purposes even if it's not the government, bank, or employer asking for it. SIN is usable as a way to process a credit check, and the case of Telus, identification such a driver's license and SIN or a credit card number would be required to open a postpaid account.

NOBODY but government, Bank or employer needs your SIN number. Whoever asks you for it - it is a SCAM.

I agree. It still might be Telus, but rather go in person to Telus store to verify. So many scams these days.

Likely a scam. Lots of different scammers. What is the number shown of the call display? Even that could be spoofed though.
If in doubt, I would call Telus directly and see whether that promo exists. Usually don't give out that information over the phone. Scammers via the web often know some basic information about many people these days.
