You will need to port out to a different service and then port back in. Porting out will also cancel the account containing the number. If this is what you wish to do, I suggest using the Virgin Mobile prepaid service for the porting as it is the cheapest. Go buy a Virgin prepaid SIM card on eBay for $1, set up a prepaid account, don't top up, just port your Public Mobile number over. This will allow you to port your number from Virbin Mobile back into Public Mobile. Total cost $1 plus some time to do the number shuffling.

Is this SIM/number also with Public Mobile? You won't be able to port from the same carrier. The only way to do this is to port out to a different carrier and back in. It is a bit of a workaround and involves some expense.

I do not think this is possible any longer but the mods will let you know for sure.

When you log into your account on the Overview page there will be an option under Account Status that says to Change Plan.
You can then either change the plan right away or set up a change plan at a future date on your next renewal.
Just go through the various pricing options as for the the 3G plans you will likely see the same pricing for province wide as you do for Canada wide calling.

@ckeung, when you say moving to a cheaper plan do you mean cheaper plan being offered by Public Mobile? If so, then simply login to the online portal, chose the new plan you wish to renew to at the renewal date and apply the change. If you are intending on porting the line to a different service, you will need to use the porting system from the new service. Ensure your line remains active otherwise porting will not be permitted.
