Hello,
im in the middle of a $70 15gb plan expiring on September 16, my data’s almost up so I need prob 10gb more of data for personal use, I don’t want to pay $150 for 10gb more of addons until September 16 so can I switch to the 10gb $50 plan until then, like if I switched and payed for the $50 plan now would it start a new 30 days starting now expiring a month from now or would the $50 plan just go till September 16

The "robot" is used to contact a customer support agent. Ironically, in this case, SIMon gives bad informatoin if the customer types in and aask for informatino about a "early plan renewal"(Public Mobile is aware of that issue). When using the "robot", type in "rep" and you will be given the option to open a ticket.

@josephbuckshon I thought you want to change to $50 plan in the middle of the cycle
If you want to renew early your current plan so you can get new data now, you cannot do it yourself or do it through Change Plan. You have to contact CS Agent to help you to renew early. To reduce the back and forth messages with CS Agent, load the $70 first into My Account, then open ticket with CS Agent. After they validate your identity, then can apply the early renewal with the fund already in your My Account.

Depends on the terms and conditions of the 5GB bonus. Some promotions do mention that customer will lose 5GB data bonus if changing plans. However, in most cases, customers will keep the data bonus.

Sometimes the website is glitchy.
You could try another browser or Incognito mode.
(You don't need to cancel autopay before changing plans)

@josephbuckshon of course we would like you to stay.. but with such a high usage and the cost involved form switching back and forth mid-month , you really should look into plans from Koodo and Telus..

yes, that's correct...
And if I switch back to the $70 plan within a month it starts another 30 days right,
yes, that's correct
is it possible to be on the $70 plan and start a new 30 days for another $70 on the same plan in the middle of those 30 days?
To renew the same plan early, you are already on, you need to request to do this with CSA.
If you are down or up-grading you can change immediately through your self serve

Yes, as stated earlier, performing an immeidately plan change starts a new 30 days. You can start a new 30 days on your current $70 plan, but you'll have to ask a CSA for an early plan renewal. You would need to open a ticket by going to: https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html

@josephbuckshon With Change Plan now, PM will charge you $50 now and start the new cycle now (Sept 4) and the new cycle ends Oct 4.
You are already on the highest plan but if your data usage will be like this every month, you might want to consider another provider with more data per month.

Switching your plan immediately would make the full $50 due and you would start a new full 30 days immediately. Keep in mind that any usage remaining from your old plan will go ununsed and will be lost. You also won't be given an refund for the unused time of the old plan.
