Happy Friday!
I dropped my latest phone with an eSIM into the lake. They're not sure if it can be fixed and have to wait a week to find out.
Want to know if I can go back to my old phone with the SIM card still in it?
If so how do I do this and will I be able to go back to my eSIM lake phone if it can be fixed please?
Thanks!!!

It is free.
You need to use the app to buy eSIM and you need to pay the $5 first but you can submit a ticket with PM support and ask them for reimbursement)

Existing eSIM users at Public Mobile who need a replacement can do so at no extra cost. When you request a new eSIM through the usual process, we automatically identify you as an existing eSIM user and waive the replacement fee. See below for steps on how to get your new eSIM.

Hi again Colleeno,
Hoping you can help me again please 🙂
Happily my "lake" phone now works again after an expensive repair. However I went to purchase the new eSIM for it but it is no longer free. Is this correct? Could you please advise if there is a day it's free and a day I have to pay.
Thanks again so much for all your help!!!

Appreciate the follow up information and I'm crossing my fingers I'll be able to do just that. In the meantime though, hope you know how grateful I am for your guidance as you've made my weekend so much easier!
Thanks again!!!

You’re welcome! Have a great long weekend.
If your ‘lake’ phone is deemed okay to use again, you will have to purchase a new eSIM for it (for free) just like you did for your old phone.

Thank you so much!!! This worked and didn't cost me anything which is even better 🙂
You saved my bacon, especially being a long weekend that I'm absolutely phone dependent upon!

Can your old phone download eSIMs? If so, then you can log into the Pm app on your old phone, and purchase another eSIM. Should be free at checkout.

Thanks but by the time that arrives I'll know if the eSIM phone can be salvaged

@JapanTrip , if you have switched from p-SIM to e-SIM, the old p-SIM cannot be reused. You will need to purchase a new p-SIM and register it in your online account.
