Hi!
I'm wanting to switch to a cheaper PM plan. Ideally, the one with 250mb of data for $15 a month. I've heard mixed reviews about the plan. However, for those who have previously purchased the plan or a currently using it do you think it's worth it?
Thanks!

I also switched from a higher data plan to the $15 plan as I did not really use my data up every month and I found I wasn't making that many calls so I prefer to save the $10 per month instead. I added the $5 add-on with 500 minutes to supplement my outgoing 100 minutes. I have found I have only needed to add it about twice a year.
Of course I do have a work phone paid for by my employer so that I use for work and when I'm working on location I suspend my public Mobile plan. You can also download TextNow for free calling and texting and it's very similar to Fongo.

@PrettyWoman - I am kinda the reverse of @JK8 🙂.
I started out on a higher plan with unlimited calling minutes, then switched to the $15 plan. I downloaded the free Fongo calling/text app (for use while in wifi areas), and I can use this to make outgoing calls, and also to check my voicemail by calling my public mobile device (doing this will not count towards outgoing minutes).
I guess it is really where you are comfortable. The thing to remember, is, it is super easy to change your plan here. So, if you are considering this, try scheduling a plan change for your next renewal and see how you like it. You don't like it, go ahead and switch back on any future renewal. 😃

When I first signed up with PM, I was on the $15 plan. I was always watching my outgoing minutes. I also purchased the additional 500 Canada wide minutes add on for $5 as a safety measure in case I needed it. After a while, I hated watching my outgoing minutes and switched to the $25 plan. I am much happier with this plan. I can now talk forever without worry of running out of minutes each cycle. You never know when you are going to need it.

This is an excellent plan if you are a light user...meaning you only use the mainly text, only make less than 100 minutes in 30 days and doesn't surf the web on your data too much.
To reduce your data usage you connect to your home wifi or connect to free wifi as much as you can.
There are ways of getting around the 100 call out minutes by texting (free unlimited) friends and family to make an incoming call (free unlimited) so you can talk as long as you want.
The 250mb of data can be use for restaurant apps where wifi is not available so you can take advantage of all for food and other promos.
