Hey,
My partner recently switched to public mobile but now every time I call her the first call ALWAYS connects me directly to her mailbox. If I call right after again it connects me correctly. What should I (or her do) to fix that?
Thanks,
Florian

@softechNot sure if PM did anything on their end but since we toggle the phone preference from 4g to 3g and back now it seem to be working better. Will test over the next couple of days to see.

@Anonymous when the PM sim is inserted into another phone, it forced a sim re-provision and could have resolved the issue. But confirm us if things going well now

@softechits a Pixel 3a. I tried to swap to 3G and right after swapping it kept dialing but she never got a notification then it worked. However after swapping back to 4G it was the same first dialing but she did not get a call (most likely because of swapping over shortly before) and then it went through without going to mailbox first.
gonna try it a bit later again. But maybe support already did a change on their end to solve the issue?

We tried reboot. We also tried toggling Do not disturb On and then back Off (in case it was secretly on) but did not fix it. The only thing that changed was a different SIM. No OS update or config changes.

@Anonymous it's a device issue. Sound like the phone not connect to 3G network quick enough when calls come in
what exact model and brand??

@Anonymous Yes sounds strange I’ve not heard of that happening before .so you have tried rebooting the phone ? Is it possible for you to try her SIM card in your phone and se if it still happens . Then try your sim in her phone . This way we can determine if it’s a phone setting or account issues

It seem to be not just me. Other people calling her get exactly the same behavior. It kind of feels like some anti spam/robot protection system. But no idea how/where that might be configured?

@Anonymous Maybe first try rebooting the phone if you haven’t already . Also is it possible to try her SIM card in your phone . If physical SIM card of course and not eSIM
