@Gal222

If your son has access to his email then yes it is as simple as @softech has explained. If your don cannot access his email then customer support csn swap out the sim cards as per my instructions.

@Gal222 if you have My Account login information, then it is easy.. (ignore what CS agent asked you go have rep calls them.. lol)

1. get the sim card from store (Do not get it from PM online, it takes 3 weeks for them to ship)

2. once you got the new SIM, Login to My Account , click Change SIM card and use the email to receive the 2FA  code

3. enter the code to complete the process and DONE!!

Now I’m really confused. The CS agent said he needed to go to a store and contact them( the CS.) With store reps support. What does that mean? How do you do that?

sorry this is really confusing.
and no. We have all the login information. It’s just that his phone was lost. Now he has no service until he can get the new SIM card changed on his current account. But he cannot receive any verification codes as he has no service. Also it’s and apple product so he cannot set up his email account in his new phone as he cannot receive a verification code.

Thank you so very much for the great info! I called London Drugs and they said they can help him!
much more informative info than the CS agents.

@Gal222   I thought you got the SIM card already.  You are only going to London Drug to get a new SIM card?

DO NOT activate an account there.  What you want to do is to "Change SIM card", not activate (when people say activate, usually it means activate new accounts). London Drug sales cannot help you with  Change SIM card request on existing account and they cannot help your to get back access to Self serve My Account, too

So, you just need to get a new SIM card and sort out the Change SIM card request with PM Support (I assume your brother forgot the My Account login and also lost the access to the email)

@Gal222

Your brother has an existing account and just wants to swap out the sim card? This can be done thru customer support once he verifies the account. Having the payment card registered to the account on hand will help ease this process. Once the sim card is switched he can then access his email again. Contact customer support thru the links supplied by @softech .

Edit:

Has he resumed service via lost/stolen if it was enabled initially?

my brother in law lost his phone. Bought a new one. Bought a pm SIM card but cannot activate the phone because he cannot receive a verification code. Text no as the phone is not enabled and email no cause he can’t receive the verification code either as his number is not active

@Gal222   In this case, get a new email address first.  Open a ticket with PM Support and have them to change the My Account to the new email address and help to "Change SIM card" to the new SIM cards he got

1. If you have access to My account: At https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.

Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", Then click "Other", then click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗"

2. If you don't have access to My Account or have trouble with Chatbot: Private message CS Agent at:

      https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437

**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after the ticket is opened.  CS Agent will reply you there

Soon, the retail presence wlll be almost entirely eliminated (there will be no more in-store activations). Public Mobile is an online, self-service carrier.  While there are still retail locations offering Public Mobile, these locations are only for sales and activation.  They aren't there to provide any form of customer support to existing customers.

Tried the store locator. Says Edson. That’s a bit far from me lol.

Text no as the phone is not enabled and email no cause he can’t receive the verification code either as his number is not active. I have reached out on his behalf to community but they say the only thing he can do is go to a store and show his id and ? He went to a kudo store and the woman there said she couldn’t help him but if he liked she cud hook him up with kudo lmao.

PM does not really have physical store itself

what are you trying to do?  Activation? Buy new SIM?

Check local mobile store inside London Drugs, Walmart, or Koodo stores.  Many of them will activate for you or sell your SIM card

Of course, you can find a store, authorized dealers here:  https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/store-locator
