You used to be able to transfer a remaining balance to another PM account, but alas that is not an option anymore

What "balance" are you referring to, @charlie123 ?
I will offer one piece of advice, if you did not respond YES to the port authorization request from Public Mobile to move your number elsewhere, it is still active and you can still use the service to reduce the balance.

HI @charlie123 Yes, as mentioned above, PM won't refund because it is prepaid service. Also because it is prepaid, you don't have to worry that you owe them money 🤣

Do you mean status of your PM account?
You will not be able to log in into your self-serving account.
It should be immediately closed when you port out your number. Good practice would be to remove autopay and credit card info before porting out to avoid potential charges done in error. If you did not do that, I hope they will not happen.

When you ported out from Public mobile to another company, your PM account is permanently closed. You lose whatever is remaining in your balance. Unable to access your self service account once you port out. You should not be charged further when you port out.

@charlie123 Once you ported out, your account would be permanently closed
Also, PM is a prepaid account, so, if you have money still on the account, it will be all gone after you ported out, after your account is closed. PM will not refund the leftover balance
