No recording on voice mail. Only out going calls work. Can't find tech support phone number or link. 611 was no help.

It probably rang when the store rep called because he's calling from another phone on the same network (Telus Mobility, Koodo, or Public Mobile). A call from any other network should still end up at Freedom until the port succeeds.
Good luck with the porting dept, and remember to put your Freedom SIM back in for this process to receive and reply to the confirmation text. When the port succeeds, the freedom SIM will stop working. Then you can switch back to the PM SIM.

The 1-877 number reaches the telus porting department the 1-844 number we have been giving out is actually the koodo porting department. Both do the same thing.
Make sure you have your freedom account # for the porting department.

Call the porting support team, they will need to re-trigger the text to your old SIM (Freedom) and you need to reply YES within 90 mins. Once that part is done, you should get incoming calls within 2 hours. You have the Porting team number already?

I Started service July 30 at Public store, found phone was locked by Freedom/Wind, phone unlocked by same store Aug.3. Phone number transferred by same store and tested, (phone rang) Aug.3. Don't understand what porting is, I guess that is what the store did.

@LouiseKunkel : I think you need to call the number I gave earlier and get them to fix it. You'll need the old SIM back on to do the confirm.

Kept the old number, if I call my cell phone from another phone there is no ring and my original voice message comes on for the voice mail right away. It does not record.

@LouiseKunkel did you request a porting (keeping old number from another carrier)? It could be a stuck port.
also, the voicemail it goes to , is that Public Mobile voicemail or voicemail from your previous courie?

@LouiseKunkel : Did you attempt to transfer your number from another provider? If so then you needed to leave the old SIM in to confirm the transfer. Now you'll need to contact 1877totelus to restart the transfer.
You should be able to do outgoing texts though.
Edit: And put the old SIM back in. Is your old service still working?

@LouiseKunkel , did you submit a number port as part of the sign up. If so, please familiarize yourself with the number transfer process and follow the steps to complete it.
