Hello. I am new to Public Mobile and looking at answers to the following questions:

1. Is Public a pay as you go and able to cancel at any time or is this a contract?

2. Can he use this phone to call States while in the USA or is this extra cost (under Canada/USA plan)

3. Does this include free texting (Again, Can/USA plan)

@helpisontheway   As noted, the plans are 30 days so if you no longer want it then you can just not renew (although autopay is enabled by default but can be turned off).  Having said that there is no pro-rated refund so if you want to quite mid-cycle you forfeit the remainder of the 30 days.

One thing to check for use in the USA is whether the phone is VoLTE capable and enabled because there is no more 3G network in the States.  What phone does he have?

hi @helpisontheway

1. yes, no contract here, it is prepaid service.  If you don't like it, disable Autopay and the service will stop at the end of the current cycle (ie, it won't renewal after the current cycle)

2. yes, with Canada-US plan, your son can use like phone like in Canada.  He can access data , can call from US to US and Canada, and you can of course reach him from Canada

3. free texing included, he can text anywhere from US
