Someone signed up with my email address. I’m not a Public mobile subscriber

As the title says — I started getting emails saying I’ve activated a line. I have not. 

of course I can’t sign into self serve because it’s not my phone or line and I don’t subscribe anyway. 

how can I get public mobile to contact this person and get them to change their email address. Or at a minimum remove my address from that account?

E-mail messages about account activation and service issues can't be unsubscribed from, nor would doing this remove the e-mail address from the Public Mobile customer's account.  Only marketing mesaages can be unsubscribed from.

No it only shows the last four digits unfortunately

Thanks all I have messaged the CSA and hopefully they’ll get it resolved. 

for more detail the activation email doesn’t have the full phone number only the last four digits. 

and as for emailing all variations of this email address, I’d rather just have PM contact the person since they know the number rather than me have to spam random people…

Well your email must be a digit or a letter off (different) from the new customer. Why not put your puzzle solver hat on and try a few likely variations of your email and see if they are valid emails and if they are send them a heads up in case you hit upon the correct one?

I never receive activation email myself.  does the email has the phone number and maybe you can call the person?

@Haran  I guess you can ignore.  When the person aware that he/she cannot logon to Public Mobile, then he/she will open a ticket with PM to change the email address

 

So, you are nice, your email got used to activate a line and you create a Community account and try to get it sorted out
