Hello, My sim card got cancelled. Does that mean Public mobile stopped the services and my pre-authorized payment won't be pulled from my bank account anymore? (That is what I want for the service to get cancelled, but accidently my sim got blocked meanwhile) please let me know, someone!!! I don't want to pay for a service that I can't use right now. Basically I can't do anything right now, I can't set up online profile. But if it got cancelled this way, than it is fine. Thank you so so much, I appreciate it!

@Anett If that is the case and you are still getting charged but your sim is not working you need to submit a ticket to Public Mobile explain that you are still being charged even though you have closed your account and ask then to remove your credit card info from their system.
To submit a ticket to the Public Mobile please start a conversation with the Public's virtual assistant, SIMON by clicking this link.
In your message explain what happened and include your account number and phone number if you still have it.
The message will be received by Public Mobile and they will respond to it. You will receive a response in your private message inbox.
Please note that account verification may be required when contacting the Public Mobile Moderator Team.
If you are still having problems contacting Public Mobile then click here.
The link sends you to the private message function and adds the moderator team as recipient for a private message. You just have to enter a title and text in the body of the message describing the problem and post.
Also, don't have to worry about your credit rating as PM is strictly prepaid your rating won't get affected.

Once you cancel your pre-authorized payment you will not be charged for your next cycle and your account should remain active until the payment due.

@Anett I have to agree this thread is a little confusing. So you have been with PM for a year and now want to cancel your account, is that right? Then you just need to port your number out to a new carrier and your PM account will close automatically, of course if you have a CC on file then you need to remove that and if you're unable to login into your account, then use the links already provided to contact moderators and ask them to assist you.

did you get a text saying your number was ported?
Much of this thread is confusing but by the sounds of it You received a message that your service is now cancelled because your number had been ported. You now no longer have access to your account because it was cancelled. But you did not initiate any of this, but are concerned you are still paying for this service.
You may have been SIM jacked.

Yes, I will. I've just paid a full month just one day before... If they charge me for next month too, ... well for sure, I will change my credit card number of something. I just don't want to destroy my good credit score with this.

Hi, I can’t set up my self serve account, it does not let me to receive messages (the code) Preauthorizes pmt was set up. I just want to know if my sim was locked, the service was cancelled too?

There have sporadic reports of charges continuing. Keep an eye out for it over the next month.
Edit: on mobile...not sure what customer intends

If you ported your number out to another carrier, then your account will closed automatically.

@Anett What happens if your dial *611 from your device with the Public Mobile sim card in your phone? Does it say suspended?
Did you port out your number from Public Mobile? If yes, then your account got automatically canceled.

If possible log into your account and cancel the autopay. If you are unable to log in another option could be to contact the mods. If you’re using a credit card you can also request a new card which will prevent your bill from auto renewing. Good luck

Login your self-serve account.
Is your account status expired or suspended?
If yes, your autopay did not work on your renewal. Add enough fund to your account and click the reactivate your plan link to get your phone working again.

Did you remove your credit card for autopay ? After 90 days if there is no payment then your account will be deactivated.

@Anett Were you trying to activate your SIM online and was unable to complete because of errors? If that was the case then just wait one hour before retrying. Make sure to clear your cache/cookies and open a new browser with incognito/private mode when retrying.
