Hi there. I’m having major issues with all my calls dropping or person not able to hear me or vice versa. I’ve had to resort to 3G at all times because LTE and 5G only give me one bar of service.

HI @KKlus
VoLTE is voice over LTE (4G) network
old type of voice is on 3G. New one is VoLTE. PM starts this lately
It depends on 2 things
1. if your phone has VoLTE at all. What phone you have
2. if PM has permissioned your profile for VoLTE yet and if your model PM allows VoLTE

What is volte and how do I get it?

1 bar is normal indoors... make sure your device has "volte" that would be the first key in improving your reception at home. if you've confirmed you have "volte" and you're still dropping calls you can look for a cellphone booster. if that's not an option for you the telus/bell family should have the same reception in that area so Rogers would be the provider to look into for better reception

@KKlus My best guess is it’s just a location issue , as you have stated it works in the city but not southwest London … but you can Alaska’s ask support to investigate

Yes I did. No change

Also my husband has the same issue

iPhone 12. Other areas of the city it is better. In southwest London it is not good

This has been going on for 5 months. Everytime I switch to LTE or 5G I get one bar

@KKlus , you might be encountering remnants of VoLTE roll out issues. I have a friend who had a couple of weeks where he had to force the phone to 3G to make stable phone calls. The problem eventually went away on its own. As for differences in signal strength between 3G, 4G, 5G, this should be a rare situation. It would exceptional to have a tower that only has 3G and 4G and 5G as well.

@KKlus could be a location issue. Did you try your phone on another area??
what brand and model is your phone?
Also, try to reseat your sim card as well as try clicking Reset All Networks

@KKlus Can you try the SIM card in another device and see if services work correctly
