Just bought a new phone a20..and I cannot access the network provider to make phone calls. How do I set it up? My sim card is in but it's not working at all.

or maybe it's blacklisted...
This phone is not locked to another carrier. If the phone was locked to another carrier, it would have prompted the user for a SIM Network Unlock PIN or SIM Network Unlock PUK as soon as the device was turned on with the Public Mobile sim card inserted.

Doesn't hurt to ask Samsung via Live Chat to make sure it really is unlocked, it's quick and painless. Let us know the results, we can help with further troubleshooting afterwards 🙂

Samsung a20 is compatible with Public mobile.
Maybe try the SIM card in your old phone. To determine whether hardware issue versus PM Service problem.

Retail location yes

@Nickkovacs That means that the phone is blacklisted or your account hasn't been provisioned properly. Submit a ticket asap. Just because a phone is brand new in an unopened box doesn't mean it can't be blacklisted. Did you purchase the phone from a retail location?

1. Open Settings>Connections>mobile networks>network operators>search for networks
2. Tap the network you would like(Public Mobile)
or you can let it automatically search for the network
3. Restart your phone
also
try changing your preferred network type to 3g

More details would be helpful. Are you an existing customer and just switching phones? Did you just activate a new account/plan? Port over a number? Is your account status active or suspended? Completely new phone or used phone? etc.

@Nickkovacs restart your phone. Remove and reinsert the SIM. Wait 5 minutes and restart it. Stay safe. If thus doesn't work do a network reset. Stay safe.
