STOLEN cell phone

My cell phone was stolen today. 

I pay in person, month to month at London Drugs.

I DO NOT have Autopay set up.

Do I need to get a NEW cell phone number?

I am paid up until mid April. Do I lose what I paid?

Have you tried the "Find my phone or iPhone" in google.   It is pretty good I have used it in 2 occasions and located the phones (but discovered it was that the phone had slipped off, in the car, so, I could not heat it rong when I tried calling it...)

It may be a glitch, try clearing cache, incognito window or another browser/computer. Then try both your old email and new to see which is still working.

thank you all for your patience!

 

I finally was able to suspend my cell phone service on my stolen cell phone.

 

I changed my email, & there was an ERROR.

 

Now, I can't get into my account!

 

How to rectify??

Look on the top, right hand corner of page and you'll see My Account (in orange script)...log into My Account / Plan Add-ons/Losst-Stolen.

after clicking plans and add-ons it is in the top center row. "Lost/stolen Phone"

Log into My Account. Look for Plan and Add-ons.... click and you see Lost - Stolen.

You need to login in to your self serve account, not the community where you are posting the questions. Open another tab with PM website and click "My Account" at the top right corner.

@Canuck2000 First, most important, login to your self serve account and Suspend Service under Lost/Stolen phone. Then get a new SIM card, login to self serve, Change SIM and reactivate service. This will preserve your phone number and plan renewal date.

To report your phone stolen and blacklist it click this: message to moderators to send a private message to the moderator team and report it stolen.

Plus, sadly, you will need to get a new phone; be sure it's unlocked and compatible with the network. https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Knowledge-Base/Getting-Started/ta-p/162

Login to self serve - Plan & add-ons - Lost/Stolen phone - Suspend service.

This will not blacklist your phone.

Don't worry...you don't need a new phone number..and you will not loose what you have paid. But you need a new COMPATIBLE phone and a new sim card. and everytihng can be done in your self serve account..in the tab PLAN/OPTIONS and CHANGE SIM CARD NUMBER. And everything will be OK.

Firstly suspend your service as @jotsang mentioned.

Then when you have a new phone you can either buy a new sim card online or anywhere like London Drugs (Not Walmart), and then log into your self serve account and change sim. This will change your phone number to the new sim and deactivate the old sim.

Follow instructions here to suspend your service and order a new SIM.
