SIM suddenly not working

My phone was working fine, then yesterday it just stopped working.  Tried turning off phone and taking out SIM and then rebooting.  I've only had it for a few months.  Plus, my brother referred me and he's not getting a referral credit.  Very frustrated with PM.

I checked the blacklist.  It's not there.  Near Vancouver, no network issues that I can see.

did you check the blacklist?  please check just in case

and which city you are at?  any local network problem like this?

It's always been handed down, so not blacklisted.  I'll try the network reboot and then maybe take it to repair shop.  Thanks.

If the SIM card worked in your dad's phone, that means there is an issue with your phone.  Maybe try a network reset of your phone (note: this will erase any saved Wifi passwords). 

By chance, did you purchase your phone secondhand?  Might it be blacklisted for any reason?

it won't mess up, just to test if it is the account/sim card

Account status seems normal.  If I put it in another phone, will that mess up that phone?
