  • I just purchase an international SIM card with a data plan when travelling outside of Canada.  It’s better pricing than any roaming package.  But it’s the Telus network so you should be fine within Canada .

You will need to purchase a 15 day US roaming add on for your phone to work in the United States.  At the present time, due to the decommissioning of the 3G network in the USA, Public mobile talk service in the US is hit and miss.  PM uses the T mobile 2G network for talk.  That coverage varies depending on your location.

In market plans are for use within all of Canada, so yes you can use it in Calgary. Unless you are on an old grandfathered provincial plan, is this your situation?

2. what to do for US roaming?

If you are traveling in the USA, you will require to purchase a Roaming data addon for services, exception is incoming texts those should still be received without additional addons.

Public mobile talk is hit and miss these days because of the decommissioning of the 3G Network in the USA.  PM roaming talk depends on the 2G T mobile network which has unreliable coverage in the USA.  Data and text should work fine.

thanks

You have service Canada wide.  Check out the US roaming packages available and use the search bar to see how to add these and when.

Your PM plan will work anyway in Canada as long as there is coverage.

USA Roaming is used while in the USA and you need to connect to the T-Mobile network to work.
