I have an account balance and paid again hoping that would solve the issue. but it did not. It says the account expired.

Are you (or did you) see this? If you did, yet you still have services, no worries, it's normal renewal messaging which causes undue panic.

Did your autopay fail? Or did you have a balance to cover your plan amount and the renewal failed? This is much rarer but I have the same issue today. Do you still have service?

@Lorraine99 when you logon to Self-Serve, is it still showing suspended? Also, do you see any money showing as Available Fund?
Do you see a button around there to Reactivate the service? If so, click on it and reboot the phone after.
