Problem was resolved. One of the support staff reached out and credited me with the referral.

Just know this. You will be required to answer several security questions to confirm your account. Furthermore, you'll be asked information about your referral person like name and phone number. Make sure you have all that ready to go to avoid delays. And the most important, make sure you reply as soon as possible to their messages in the link below. If you delay more than 48 hours in responding, they will close the ticket and you'll have to start all over again.
