Dear Community,
I've just signed up with a temporary number. I have also sucessfully referred a few friends who will be moving their families' lines over to PM.
If they were to use my temporary number for their referral, what would happen to the referral after I port my permanent number over? Would the referral still be associated with my account?

Last night I signed up with a temporary number and ported immediately afterwards from Telus. Tried doing a referral shortly afterwards, but the ported number or temporary number did not work. So even using the temporary number did not solve the issue. I was able to get it working couple of minutes ago, but I wasn't sure what fixed it. Either I had to wait 24 hours or it was beacuse I reached out to a mod this morning.

Thanks for that info. So one should write down the temporary number to give for referral reward for the time being.. just in case if the ported number gives the error you mentioned.
I am positive that you will not lose any referral rewards. Just to be safe, do keep a list of phone numbers you referred. If not this week, then once the promo expires, one of the mods will be able to quickly verify and correct any mistakes for you. I have seen it done by the mods in the past for a few people. You have until your next renewal date to sort out the rewards, because thats when the rewards will be applied to lower the bill.

@imm1304 too bad my ported number didn't registered to my account and still shows the "new number" and not the ported in number so I gave my friend that phone number for referral, when using the ported number it says the number is not a Public mobile subscriber. Still waiting for this to get fixed on my account . Hope I didn't lose my referral.

As long as you are on the temporary number, keep giving it for referrals. It is used to link the reward to your account.
Once you port your number to PM, your referral rewards are already linked to your account and remain unchanged. Going forward, use your ported number for future referrals.
