Recent Koodo promotion, misleading registration flow

So I received a text message about switching to koodo. I am willing to make the change myself without paying a random Koodo kiosk $30 for the artificial "connection fee".

I follow the links provided, how do I $%@#!#'ing setup this promotion without having to pick a new phone? I don't NEED a new phone. I want the promotion with my EXISTING phone.

Thanks community.

The $30 in store fee is waived by nearly every store from what I have seen

To not select a phone, do NOT enter promo code first

Select bring own phone, then add SIM to cart, then enter promo code to see the plans

Be patient, you will find the option to choose without buying the phone.  Its on the same page where it asked you about the phone.

I beleive the offer has passed unless a new one has come up.  You need to go into the Shop tab and go all the way down to Bring My own Phone.  YOu will then be required to add a sim card to your cart at no charge.  You will then select that you have a promo and enter the promo code that you were given and then validate with your phone number.  If it is accepted at the top of the screen you will now see a congrats there are special offers for you (or something like that) Click the link there and you will see the promos listed with the other plans.

@dev_chris, customers have the option to order online or go to a store.  So it's possible to avoid the $30 activation fee.  That said, I think you got hung up on something small relative to the total offer.  Just the credits far outweigh the activation fee.

You made a duplicate post, could you please take this one down?  Check the other one for my answer here.  I hope that helps!

First of all, you should probably check if the promotion itself is expired or not, the one I hear about (JOINKOODOAUGDATA) is expired as of this time and will not work.

As for going BYOD with Koodo, all you have to do is click here and it'll fill your basket with a BYOD SIM card for a new account.  Otherwise just go here and make your own selection for BYOD.  (I was just trying to help you skip the extra step)

You should go to the Kodoo website...this is the Public Mobile website. Good luck.
